MINISFORUM H31G: Smallest mini desktop with discrete graphics, coming September 29

Next week, the smallest desktop PC with NVIDIA GeForce 1050 Ti graphics will hit the market. The MINISFORUM H31G will launch with the Intel Core i5 9500F (US$659) and Intel Core i7 9700F (US$799) processors inside, both setups also featuring 16 GB of memory, a 256 GB SSD, and the aforementioned video card.Launched in July, the MINISFORUM H31 is a compact mini PC that comes with a single processor option — the Intel Core i3 9100. The only hardware choices spin around the memory and storage configuration, nothing more. Next week, the H31G will come to address this issue by throwing i5 and i7 processor options into the mix, alongside an improved cooling system and a dedicated graphics card — the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory.

Advertised as "an ultra-small high-performance mini desktop PC that is especially designed for game enthusiasts and advanced content creators alike," the MINISFORUM H31G is scheduled to hit the market on September 29 in the following two configurations:

Intel Core i5-9500F, 16 GB DDR4 memory, 256 SSD storage: U$659

Intel Core i7 9700F, 16 GB DDR4 memory, 256 SSD storage: U$799

The video below shows how MINISFORUM's engineers have managed to get so much computing power in a tight space — both the mainboard and video card are custom solutions, the cooling system uses 4 copper pipes and two silent fans that can have their speeds adjusted in the BIOS. When it comes to storage, the H31G can handle TF cards, M.2 SATA SSDs, PCIe x4 NVMe SSDs, as well as a 2.5-inch hard drive. Lastly, I should also mention support for WiFi 6 wireless internet support with a maximum transfer rate of 2.4 Gb/s.
